“To waste, to destroy our natural resources, to skin and exhaust the land instead of using it so as to increase its usefulness, will result in undermining in the days of our children the very prosperity which we ought by right to hand down to them amplified and developed”. Theodore Roosevelt. In other words, valuing Egypt’s resources will not only benefit Egypt as a country, but will also help other countries’ development and this is the main purpose of this project.
This project targets SDGs number 7 and 8 of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, which are:
7- affordable and clean energy.
8- decent work and economic growth.
It aims to explore the role of interior design in promoting Egypt’s natural resources and investigate the use of technology in interior design.
The natural resources of Egypt that this expo will display are Agriculture, Nile and Sun.
The expo, aside from the pavilions, has other buildings that include administrative building, restaurant, a VIP lounge and a conference hall.
Finally, this project introduce Egypt’s natural resources to both investors and citizens by showcasing Egypt’s natural resources (agriculture, Nile and sun), through separate pavilions in the form of an expo.
Each pavilion will showcase a certain natural resource to help investors better understand the importance of these natural resources.
How investing in these resources will help in enhancing Egypt’s economy and other countries economy as well.
The project is located in front of the Grand Egyptian Museum and the Pyramids.

The concept of this project is the 5 elements of nature which are Air, Water, Earth, Fire and Spirit.
Each element is applied in each pavilion, for example, the pavilions are separate and visitors need to leave each building then exist the building then enter the next building so they are exposed to the air element, the Nile pavilion ( shows the benefits of the Nile) reflects the water element, the agriculture pavilion, ( shows the benefits of agriculture and type of soil in Egypt), reflects the earth element, the sun pavilion (shows how Egypt's sun helped in applying solar panels and the benefits of solar panels) and finally, the spirit element is the celestial energy that connects all the other elements of nature together, so the information hall reflects the spirit and is actually placed in the center of the plan where all other buildings circulate around it.
Zone 1 (Information Hall):
This zone provides the visitors with information about the expo and what each pavilion is talking about. Also, further information about each natural resources is provided in the form of screens and VR technology.
Zone 2 (Agriculture Pavilion):
This zone informs the visitors about how important the agriculture in Egypt is and what types of soil is used and their benefits.
Technologies Used:
Hologram
VR
Screens
HVAC
Security Camera System
Solar Panels
