Designart Tokyo - an annual festival of art and design, bringing together all kinds of creative works from all over the world to the city of Tokyo returns in October 2021.

Designart Tokyo 2021 is calling entries for the festival, deadline is 20 May 2021.

Amid the Covid-19 crisis, challenges continue in our life, society, and business. However, now is the time when creative ideas and actions are much in need than ever. 

Setting this year’s theme as “CHANCE!”, Designart Tokyo is presenting cutting-edge design and art from Tokyo.

Celebrating its 5th year, Designart Tokyo continues developing as a hybrid and international event, merging physical and digital experiences. Many exciting projects and collaborations will be seen, reflecting hot subjects of the time such as sustainability and SDGs.

New category luxury outdoor chair made from real leather One of the most notable Asian architects, Johnny Chiu, in collaboration with a group of Japanese Meisters, “KOBE LEATHER”, is unveiling a brand-new category of luxury outdoor furniture. Single chairs will be the first ones to be introduced during Designart Tokyo 2021.

From Italy, De Castelli unveils its "metal world" in Japan  

De Castelli, internationally well-known for introducing the language of design, mixing craftsmanship, and advanced technologies in metal manufacturing,  officially launched in Japan in Feb 2021. 

Highly appraised techniques of metalworking and finishes attract many architects and notable brands. Their new collection will be introduced in Japan during Designart Tokyo 2021.
