WAC Announces Most Active Country Editors/Reporters Of December

World Architecture Community proudly announces that three Country Reporters/Editors have been named as the most active Country Reporters/Editors of December for successfully completing at least three articles in the WAC's Country Editors/Reporters Program.

In December, WAC's the Netherlands Country Reporter Lola Kleindouwel, WAC's India Country Editor Pappal Suneja, WAC's United States Country Reporter Palak Shah have been named as the most successful names of December.

Launched in December 2017, WAC's voluntary-based Country Editors/Reporters Program was initiated to promote local architecture, knowledge, local stories and recent developments from different parts of the world to WAC's global audience, as well as introducing new volunteer journalists and writers as the face of their country. The aim of the program is to enrich local context and news, connect local architects to the world of architecture and expand our ability to share exclusive and local news with our global audience. 

Reaching a great success in a short period of time, the program is composed of architects, architecture students, academicians, writers, experienced journalists and new journalist candidates from different parts of of the world. Currently, WAC has 37 Country Reporters and 7 Country Editors distributed to 22 countries.

Valid from October 2020, World Architecture Community has been announcing the most active Country Editors/Reporters of the month and each Country Editor or Reporter receives a Certificate of Appreciation.

Lola was appointed as the Netherlands Country Reporter of WAC on August 17, 2020, she is based in the Netherlands and graduated from the Architecture and the Built Environment at Delft University of Technology in 2018. 

Since her appointment to the program, Lola has been one of the most active names among other Country Reporters/Editors, she has been named as the most active Reporter of the program in October and November. 

Lola is reporting the most recent developments from her country as well as new architectural projects by following the design processes of the projects closely. 

Reaching 4 stories in December, Lola is conducting live talks with prominent architects on WAC's Instagram as part of WAC's Live Interview Series. Lola moderated live talks with 3XN founder Kim Herforth Nielsen and Indian architect Anupama Kundoo. You can watch Lola's live interviews with Kim Herforth Nielsen and Anupama Kundoo on WAC's IGTV.

On Monday, January 11 at 10:00am (CET), Lola Kleindouwel will be moderating a new live talk with Alexis Dornier on WAC's Instagram. The talk is themed as "The New Realities Of Smallness In Architecture".

Appointed as WAC's India Country Reporter on December 13, 2017 and in a short period of time, he has reached a great success in the program and Pappal was upgraded as WAC's India Country Editor in May 2020 due to his successful editorial, entrepreneur and managerial skills. 

Being a great entrepreneur in digital journalism with his multi-tasking initiatives and attitude, Pappal successfully drives his career in the program by bringing new stories, initiatives and projects from India. Pappal is currently a Visiting Lecturer at Stiftung Bauhaus Dessau, Germany. 

As an active contributor of architectural journalism in India, Pappal has contributed to more than 150 publications related to architecture and allied fields as well as architectural competitions and paper presentations.

In December, once more Pappal has broken a record by writing 10 stories in total in the program. In addition, Pappal moderated several live talks as part of WAC's Live Interview Series, including Sanjay Puri, Krupa Zubin, Nuru Karim, Sameep Padora, BIG's Jamie Maslyn Larson and SO-IL founders Jing Liu and Florian Idenburg

Palak Shah was appointed as WAC's United States Country Reporter on November 25, 2020 to the program. Since her appointment, she is bringing the most interesting stories from the United States by reaching to different fields and disciplines of architecture. 

Originally a native of Mumbai and a registered architect from India, Palak is a recent Masters in Architecture graduate from the University of Virginia School of Architecture in the United States. 

Palak likes to report from different disciplines and the works of young architectural studios. In December, Palak has reached 3 stories focusing on different types of contents.
