WAC Appoints Lennie Araujo As Portugal's Country Reporter

Lennie Araujo - Portugal

Since July 15, 2019

Lennie Araujo has been appointed as Portugal's Country Reporter, as part of the WAC's Country Editors/Reporters program. Lennie is an urban design architect –though mostly he is a flâneur, curious about my surroundings and about what is yet to be discovered. He enjoys creating places that respond to their context and that reflect the very qualities found in their surroundings.

More of an urbanist than an architect, Lennie's career has been a collaborative experience fusing urban with environmental design and sustainable master planning. Lennie has an experience on diverse range of public and private projects, encompassing strategy, planning and urban design/development in the US, Europe, Canada, Latin America and the Middle East.

Currently phasing out as leader of the Urban Design team for Riyadh Metro in charge of the strategy to integrate the metro project with the public realm.

Lennie was born in Latin America, lived and and worked most of my life in NYC, he is now based in Lisbon, Portugal where apart from beautiful old buildings he is experiencing a strong new wave of design and construction all around.

You can follow Lennie on LinkedIn and Instagram.

If you also want to be part of our volunteer reporters and become "the voice of your country on WAC while being the face of WAC in your country", please send your motivation message and your CV to [email protected]. We also accept more than one reporter by country.
