The Urburb:Patterns of Contemporary Living, published by Sternthal Books, provides a multifaceted documentation of contemporary Israeli space and accompanies the Israeli Pavilion at the 14th annual Venice Biennale for Architecture. The book pairs images of the installation with documentary photographs, essays, and memoirs. Join us for the book launch and a multimedia presentation of the project by publisher Ian Sternthal.

‘The Urburb’ is a neologism referring to spaces that are both urban and suburban. The term captures 100 years of modernist development in Israel, which has seen large swaths of the landscape transformed. This event is presented as part of an ongoing series of book presentations in the CCA Bookstore entitled Book Talks.
