Louis Vuitton exhibited its new Cruise collection 2016 at iconic Bob Hope Residence which is a desert modernism of architecture.

Couture comes to Palms Springs, when one of the most identifiable brand in luxury luggage and fashion fills one of California’s most fantastical homes.Louis Vuitton and Nicolas Ghesquière decamped to the Coachella Valley to unveil its Cruise collection at the futuristic Bob and Dolores Hope Estate, whose modernism brutal architecture inspired Ghesquière’s 2016 resort collection.The show and after-show party took place at theJohn Lautner designed house atop a vista looking out across the desert.

Guest taking in the scene included the CEO of LVMH, Bernard Arnault as well as Catherine Deneuve, Marisa Tomei, Miranda Kerr, Michelle Williams, Kanye West, Selena Gomez and Gia Coppola.John Lautner was an influential American architect whose work combined organic architecture, progressive engineering and futuristic space-age flair. His major work includes the Lautner Residence, The Chemosphere, Silvertop Residence, Elrod House and Dolores and Bob Hope Residence.

It's a new trend that several fashion brands started to choose an iconic places to exhibit their collections as a completing part of their creations;just in order to remember,French fashion brand Chanel selected ''The Dongdaemun Design Plaza in Seoul'' designed by Zaha Hadid Architects for Chanel's Resort 15/16 Show,which was presented on 4 May,2015 with flashy announcements.Karl Lagerfeld and his team have selected Zaha Hadid’s Dongdaemun Design Plaza as the venue for the presentation.Chanel’s decision to show its collection in Hadid’s latest creation is in line with high fashion’s current love affair with architecture.Please watch the Karl Lagerfeld's interview about Cruise 2015/16 Chanel show.
