Design intentions
The building inspired by local architecture - a traditional form of log-construction very typical to this area. The project refers to tradition also in construction methods, materials, form and proportion of the building. Due to plot location it was very important to minimize water and energy needs. Rainwater harvesting, greywater reuse, solar collectors and LED lighting were implemented.
