Design intentions
Three abandoned barn-houses have cut their primeval union with the soil and have risen up on their legs and are marching now towards the cities of the south, longing after their farmers. -The architectural installation was set on fire as a comment to the desertation process of the Finnish countryside. -Venice Biennale 2000-The Architectural Review`s Emerging Architecture Award 1999-Casagrande & Rintala.
