One of the most fascinating essays attempting to demonstrate the significance of uncertainty in the built space was formulated by Michel Foucault in 1967, in a lecture given at a Tunis convention of architectural research. The essay was recently published under the title of “Heterotopy” - a sort of a plural form of ‘utopia’.
