Search Issue The term “ecophobia” refers to an unreasonable but deeply conditioned reactionagainst natural forms. It has also been used in clinical psychology to denote a phobia against one’s dwelling, but that specific use now appears to be antiquated. The philosopher Roger Scruton coined the related term “oikophobia” to denote anunreasonable hatred of one’s native culture.
