Ecco il link all'articolo.

Udine will finally have a new parking lot: 258 new parking spaces in the city center, between Via Marco Volpe and Via Viola, in the area adjacent to Palazzo Maniago and parking "Magrini". The project, designed by the architects Marpillero & Associati, involves the construction of a 3-underground-floors garage: the last level will be transferred to the City as agreed on March 28th, 2011 by the City Council of Udine. The company Selva Amena, which commissioned the project, will give 66 parking spaces to the City: these spaces will be connected to the parking "Magrini" via an underground tunnel.
Public and private sectors are working together to render Udine more livable and ecologic: the projects also provides improved traffic patterns and the restoring of the garden at the level 0.
The welfare of the city is growing: having a new underground parking means more space for bike lanes and is a further step towards a real pedestrian center. The trade will be affected positively and Udine will be cleaner and greener.

On October 16th, 2010 the major of the city of San Daniele del Friuli (Udine - Italy), Mr. Emilio Iob, inaugurated the buildings of "Borgo San Martino", a residential and business complex designed by Marpillero&Associati.Mr. Iob showed great appraisal for the realization of the project, a sign of the growing development of the city which attracted investors from the adjacent regions. The site area is situated at the top of a panoramic hill at San Daniele del Friuli and is therefore protected by laws safeguarding landscape and environmental features. The area had housed a disused factory no longer in operation which was demolished. The design areas covered town planning and architecture and also structural design and systems engineering. The greatest design difficulty found was that of including the large building volumes planned for the area as seamlessly as possible within the territory. The choice of modeling buildings according to a Friuli courtyard building with traditional shapes and materials was imposed by the municipal town-planning instruments. The complex comprises 20,000 m3 of volumes above ground from which 60 residential, business and hotel units were formed and 15,000 m3 of underground areas housing the garages and service facilities.Marpillero&Associati designed and coordinated the realization of the project during all its phases: feasibility, preliminary - final - working design, workshop designs, works management, project management.
