The work of the Iraqi-British architect Zaha Hadid is characterised by its powerful, curving forms and elongated structures. Her striking creations always stand out from the crowd.

Projects completed by her architectural practice include the MAXXI Museum of Contemporary Art in Rome, the Guangzhou Opera House (China), the BMW Central Building in Leipzig, and in Denmark Zaha Hadid Architects created the annexe to Ordrupgaard (a distinguished art collection), north of Copenhagen.

Zaha Hadid has won major international recognition for her architecture, and was the first ever woman to receive the prestigious Pritzker Architecture Prize.
