Location: Qinhuangdao, Hebei + The scope of this project is a 31 level commercial curtain wall building, with only the ground floor used as amenities (such as shops, restaurants and cafes). Two buildings create the foot print and are connected at level 22. This layout allows the free space on the site to be divided into two separate areas. The waved shape of the design controls sunshine from the east to the west as well as deflects wind loads. The double layered glass facade serves to maximize warmth from the sun, creating natural ventilation. The open center acts as an entrance gate into a busier section of the commercial district.
