Studio Egret West won the competition for this mixed-use project, in April this year. Dubbed ‘The Landing’, the scheme includes 208 new apartments, 30,650m2 of office space and 4,600m2 of retail, restaurant, cafe and bar space, in blocks of 5 to 13 storeys,  underground parking and a new public plaza, tentatively named ‘Lantern Circus’.

“The Landing” is being developed by London & Aberdeen, Smedvig of Norway, and Ryger Maidenhead in partnership with the borough council. SEW is collaborating with Allies and Morrison who are designing one of the office buildings.

Public consultation held in early October was well received and we expect to submit an outline planning application for the development to Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead planning officers in November 2014.
