Two of the best buildings built by British architects in the past year stand 100kms north of the arctic circle in the Nowegian town of Bodø. The young London firm DRDH won the commissions for the city’s new library and concert hall in competition. On its opening last month the concert hall drew rave reviews with its acoustic performance being likened to that of the gold standard for concert hall design, the Musikvieiren in Vienna.
