Triangle Cycle : 1 architect - 1 Building Type : Inaugural Conference TRIANGLE exhibition from October 31, 2014 to January 4, 2015Owner: VIPARIS Triangle perceives initially across the metropolitan city of Paris.

Its singular form, that of an irregular pyramid trapezoidal base contrasts with the opportunities offered by a single collecting classic ride in single extrusion. This volume gives Triangle multiple and dynamic perceptions, which vary depending on the viewpoint. It therefore becomes "actress" in the Paris figure and bring to the Place de la Porte de Versailles and the Parc des Expositions site highly visible from across the city. Across the Place de la Porte de Versailles the insertion of an iconic and recognizable building along the avenue Ernest Renan, in the heart of the Parc des Expositions and down the square and surrounding buildings play an important role in the reorganization of flows and perception of urban space while reactivating the historic route between the 15th arrondissement of Paris and the surrounding communities of Issy-les-Moulineaux and Vanves.Accurate calibration massing promotes insertion and seeks to limit the impact of the building on its environment. Its triangular shape has two functions; it retains generous viewing angles of the sky for residents and reduces as a sundial, casting shadows on neighboring buildings.Triangle is conceived as a piece of the city that would have pivoted and positioned vertically. For the visitor, the project is first seen from the Place de la Porte de Versailles where converges the network of public transport. The base of the building is open to all, from the square and along the avenue Ernest Renan, who renews the appearance of a bustling Parisian street, with its shops and services.

The North-East axis facing the center of Paris includes two inclined elevators that will connect the atrium from the base up to a panoramic restaurant at the top of the tower. This tour will then continue in the highest levels of Triangle, to the lookout where you will discover breathtaking views over the entire city. Triangle will become one of the major attractions in Paris. It will recreate a strong and lively Place de la Porte de Versailles urban space, provide a benchmark from which we can perceive the skyline and will appear as a remarkable figure in the system of axes and monuments, such a signal in the heart of the Parc des Expositions.Herzog & de Meuron, 2014
