New Chinese firm's headquarters was inspired from the USS Enterprise NCC-1701-E,which appeared in three “Star Trek” movies in the late 1990s and early 2000s. This giant spaceship located in the coastal city of Changle in China’s southeast Fujian province, the building serves as office space — is also a life-sized Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton replica, modeled after a famous one discovered in South Dakota in 1987.The building is 260-meter long,100-meter wide and includes six-floors,which was built by Chinese online game developer NetDragon Websoft, founded by Liu Dejian,a 43-year-old University of Kansas alumni — is a huge fan. Mr. Liu is also a board member of Chinese search engine giant Baidu.

The total investment of the building is 600 million yuan ($97 million) and seems that it will be the new start of debate as one part of phantasy architecture. However, the companies design decision supports this phantasy architecture once more and according to the Wall Street Journal report; the company inspired from a poster, they decided to put the giant ship on several columns, as if it had landed on the field for repairs. This is an interesting and sudden approach to build something that somewhat excludes the reality and gives design decisions in a more romantic way.In addition, according to the NetDragon Websoft, the company contacted U.S. media company, which produces Star Trek, to secure the rights.  “That was their first time dealing with issue like this and at first they thought that it was a joke,” said the company in an email.

Different to these rumours, Chinese internet users embraced this giant design as this is a kind of a mix of “Star Trek” and “Star Wars”,which the similar design has never been built before and they think that it will be cool and enjoyable to work inside of that building.
